Quality Control

At PDQ Care, our Quality Program starts with the selection, training and supervision of our people. Our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants have received extensive training and are accredited by their respective boards. The Company requires all of these caregivers to seek continuing education to stay up to date with national, state and local standards of care.

All employees of PDQ Care are trained on the policies and procedures of the Company as they relate to utilization of our systems, privacy of health care records and conduct. The Company maintains systems to ensure that each employee has received the training appropriate to their responsibilities and successful completion of each course is certified.

Each location is assigned a Medical Director, a local physician responsible to oversee its medical activities. Every encounter with a patient is documented in PDQ Care’s medical records system. Every encounter is reviewed and electronically signed by the Medical Director. All prescriptions are reviewed and approved by the Medical Director. Furthermore, selected charts are reviewed by other practitioners as well as physicians to ensure consistent quality from all of PDQ Care’s clinics and to provide opportunities for practitioners to learn from one another.

The Company utilizes an electronic medical record system with complaint-driven protocols. This system guides our clinicians to take and update the patients’ medical histories and provide highly focused treatment based on national clinical practice guidelines.

In the event the patient’s condition requires care that exceeds the level of care offered by PDQ Care, special alerts will be issued to prompt the practitioner to refer the patient elsewhere, as appropriate.

Prescriptions are written only when medically necessary for the complaint being treated. The electronic medical record system will check your prescriptions to minimize the risk for adverse drug interactions with other prescriptions, allergies or conditions. Last, our electronic medical records system makes your medical record available to any PDQ Care clinic nationwide.

We encourage all patients who receive services from PDQ Care to complete a short patient satisfaction survey. We review the results of these surveys for each location and for all locations to identify areas we can improve our services. Patients can complete their survey right at the clinic, or they can complete one over the Internet.
